Driven Church Leadership

Pastors & Staff

Dan Button

Lead Pastor

Pastor Daniel Button came to faith in Christ on January 8, 1996, and married Anita on July 26 of that year. They have four children—Tim, Rick, DJ, and Travis—and eight grandchildren. Both retired after careers in law enforcement.
Called to ministry in February 1997, Pastor Dan served for two years as youth pastor at Linden Church of God in Webster, Florida. He and Anita later joined Cross Connection Church, where he pursued ordination with the Assemblies of God and became a bi-vocational associate pastor under Lead Pastor Clarence Crane. Pastor Clarence and his wife, Merit, mentored them throughout this stage of their ministry.
In May 2014, Dan and Anita were appointed bi-vocational pastors of Coleman Assembly of God, where they served for nearly three years. They later returned to Cross Connection Church and continued serving until retiring from law enforcement. After relocating to Greeneville, Tennessee, they attended Lighthouse Assembly of God for two years before becoming senior pastors of Driven Church.

Bill Rupert

Executive Pastor

Bill and his wife Marlene gave their lives to the Lord when they were in their 30’s living in the Midwest.  Both individually moved to Tucson Arizona where they met and married in 2018.
Over the years Bill has served in jail ministry in Ohio and Arizona. Also, he was President of WaterWalkingMinistries, a disaster recovery ministry where he and Marlene helped those affected by natural and manmade disasters.
Marlene served for years ministering to Pastors and Missionaries in a retreat she operated in Tucson called Shechem providing Pastor and Missionary couples a quiet place to get away by themselves with the Lord.
Bill and Marlene are both ordained Senior Chaplains and have held various positions in the church through the years.

Michael Orrey

Associate Pastor & Next-Gen director

As the Associate and Next Generation Directors at Driven Church, our passion is to help children, students, and young adults grow in their relationship with Jesus, discover their God-given gifts, and boldly live out their faith. We believe ministry is more than providing programs, it is about mentoring, leading by example, and raising up strong disciples of Christ.

Our heart is to partner with families and the church to equip the next generation to understand that they are not just the Church of tomorrow, They are the Church of today. We want to encourage them to use their gifts, pursue their purpose, and make a Kingdom impact wherever God has placed them.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers…” — 1 Timothy 4:12

Pam Gaskins

Pam Gaskins serves as the Women’s Director at Driven Church. She has been married for 24 years and is blessed with three children, seven grandchildren, two dogs, and one cat.
Pam has a heart for seeing women grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus, discover their purpose, and build meaningful relationships with one another. Her passion extends beyond the walls of the church as she continually looks for new ways to reach and serve women throughout the community.
Whether through fellowship, discipleship, or finding the next outreach opportunity, Pam desires to lead women in being the hands and feet of Jesus, loving people, meeting needs, and making a lasting Kingdom impact.

Men's Director

Johnny Mitchell

My name is Johnny Mitchell. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior in 1999 while attending a Christmas play rehearsal with my sons at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Greeneville, Tennessee. Members of the church had invited me to participate in the play, and during rehearsal I felt the Holy Spirit speak to me, challenging me to consider why I was taking part when I did not yet know Him personally. That experience taught me the importance of living with genuine faith rather than merely presenting the appearance of it. I asked Jesus to enter my life and forgive me for the way I had been living. Since then, I have sought to share God’s love with others and to remain a devoted student of the Word. My sons, Brandon and Jordan, are 37 and 34, respectively. Brandon serves as a Financial Director at ETSU, and Jordan is a physician in the nation’s capital.
I am married to Tammy (Caraway) Mitchell. We married shortly after high school and have built a life grounded in our shared faith. Tammy loves the Lord deeply and possesses spiritual gifts that strengthen and encourage the Bride of Christ. I attended Chuckey-Doak High School, while she attended Greeneville High School. I have worked for John Deere Power Products in Greeneville, Tennessee, for more than 23 years.
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Men’s Ministry leader at Driven Church. Our ministry provides a meaningful setting in which we disciple and encourage one another through Scripture and through the experiences that have drawn us closer to the hope found in salvation through our Savior, who continually demonstrates His love.
